I won a Jack Petchey award when I was 10 years old - 15 years ago! - for a fundraiser I started in primary school to raise money for Oxfam. I still remember the award ceremony, and the golden medal I was given. I think back fondly on that time, and I am both heart-warmed to read similar accounts of others, and truly devastated at this loss of a phenomenal man. Rest in peace Jack Petchey, and long may your work continue.
