Having recently completed my time at The Excelsior Academy, formerly known as The Petchey Academy, I am filled with cherished memories of Sir Jack Petchey. Highlights include the memorable acorn assembly in Year 7 and the honor of receiving the Jack Petchey Award in June 2022. Attending his school has been a privilege, and it is with great sadness that I learned of his passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to all who knew and admired him. Rest in peace, Sir Jack Petchey - a true legend.
