It was a huge honour to receive the Jack Petchey Leadership Award for Stewards School in 2003. Jack was a unique man who grew up where I did in London and dedicated his life to improving the life chances of young people. He gave them inspiration to believe they could be anything they wanted to be. There is a bright star in heaven tonight. Rest in peace dear Jack.
