Mark Farmer 28th June 2024

This is such sad news as all Foundation partners prepare for the big 25th anniversary celebrations at the end of the year. We would all have loved Sir Jack to have been able to attend. However, there is still so much to celebrate - and remember from the last 25 years of incredible programmes and opportunity that have been available to young people in London and Essex. This has all been possible due to Sir Jack's brave decision to invest his life savings of £60 (in today's money about £2,500) in a business venture over 70 years ago. Those ventures became huge and enabled the creation of the Foundation 25 years ago. His generosity to put so much of that created wealth into the futures of young people will be admired for decades to come. At Talk The Talk we see almost every day the impact of the workshops we provide in schools - all made affordable to schools through the funding of the Sir Jack Petchey Foundation. Talk The Talk is one of many partners and we all remain committed to Sir Jack's core values and his desire to give incredible training, experiences and opportunities to young people to help them achieve their potential and dreams. Let's continue this great work in Sir Jack's name!
