It is with great sadness that I heard of the death of Sir Jack Petchey. As the the County Coordinator for Petchey Awards for Greater London North East County Scouts since the year 2000, I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Sir jack on many occasions. The fact that he was invested as a Wolf Cub in East Ham, London E6 at the age of 8yrs was always a taking point. He was very proud of the fact and it makes us proud in GLNE that he regarded Scouting with such affection. My sincere condolences go to his family at this sad time.
