My condolences to all that knew Sir Jack, his legacy will, however, live on for generations and so many young people have benefited from and gained life experiences that perhaps he will never know how much his outreach has changed them for the better. As an instructor in the Sea Cadets of Haringey I have seen this first first hand, watching cadets return from offshore voyages on the aptly named TS Sir Jack Petchey share with excitement their adventures or of the bursaries we use at the unit to make an impact on our training delivery.
